I did a little re-arranging in our lounge room last weekend, and in one corner near the bookshelves I have set up a little play space for Hugo. His toys are in a big basket and I placed on the lower shelf all of his board books, so that when he wants to read them he can get them down himself. He spends a little time each day over there, entertaining himself, pulling every book off the shelf and reading through each one, tossing them aside when he's done.

I love that he loves books.

I took the first photo after Hugo woke up from his morning nap one day this week. He wasn't very impressed with me. But then when he woke from his afternoon nap later in the day he pointed to my camera lying on our bed and wanted me to take another one. The second photo is the pose he did.

Gosh this kid is awesome!

Hugo's favourite "toys" of late. The broom, and the little car he got for Christmas, which he loves to push around, inside and outside, really fast!

We've been putting shoes on Hugo more and more often recently. He's still not quite walking on his own, but he isn't far off. He loved that he could tap them on the foot rest of his hair chair and make noise!
