Zoe at Five Months
Our little girl is so living up to the meaning of her names; life and joy. She is both. Just the happiest little girl. Always ready with smiles, rarely cries, is so relaxed and cruisy.
Daddy was on holidays for three weeks and I think Zoe really loved that (we all did!). Because at night time I settle Zoe and Daddy settles Hugo she hasn't had as much one on one time as Daddy would like (or as much as Hugo got. Perks of being the eldest) But three weeks of having him around all the time was so good. I think she adores him even more now.
Zoe had her first Philip Island trip and got to experience mini golf and our beach.
She has now mastered rolling from her back to her tummy (24/6). I'm starting to worry she's going to walk early and I don't think I'm ready for that! Hopefully she slows down this habit of doing big girl things so early!
We sure love this special girl!

Zoe at Four Months
Gosh, our girl is just the happiest little thing ever. She is so content and happy to just play on her play mat or have tummy time in front of a mirror. She goes down easily (for the most part) for her sleeps. I can simply swaddle her, pop a dummy in, lay her in bed and walk away. She just drops off to sleep all on her own.
She's had her first sickness with a yucky cold and quite a nasty cough, but she recovered quickly and was her happy self throughout the whole illness.
Due to her cough, Zoe did the biggest projectile vomit yet one night and ended up in bed with mama and daddy as she filled her bassinet. Poor little girl, but she just was so calm through the 5am shower, getting dressed again and going back to sleep. She is super sweet.
I am loving watching the blossoming relationship between Hugo and Zoe, they both just adore each other. I think He might almost be her favourite person. He certainly gets the most laughs out of her.
Four months gone already. Time is sure speeding by second time around.
We love you beautiful girl xx

Zoe at Three Months
Zoe does lots of rolling over now from her tummy to her back. Hugo was in hysterics one day, giggling uncontrollably when she would roll. He would then push her back on to her tummy just to watch it again! (24th/4)
Zoe had her first Easter in this last month which was also her first camping trip. She did so well. Hardly made any noise overnight when she woke up for feeds.
We also had church camp a couple of weeks after Easter in Anglesea where she did her best two nights of sleep yet. Six hours the first night and 5 1/2 the second! So proud. Aparently church camp and/or Anglesea agree with her because she has yet to repeat it!
On the 26th Zoe gave us her first real little laugh (the real, deep tummy giggle kind of laugh) while watching daddy and Hugo spinning around in the lounge room.
She has discovered that her fists can go in her mouth whenever she wants, and so she has taken advantage of that and sucks away any chance she gets.
She is such a happy little girl, well, other than during her fussy time in the evenings (at least her fussy time is between 6 and about 9, Hugo's was more like 7-11) We love her so much.

Zoe's First Beach Day
We finally made it to the beach yesterday for the first time this summer, although technically it's no longer summer! We have had a fairly cool summer this year, but at last everything aligned for us to get to Torquay with Aunty Lari for Zoe's first beach day. I think she enjoyed it. I know Hugo did!
Zoe at Two Months
Well, miss Zoe's development is coming along much swifter than we could have imagined. She rolled over from her tummy to her back for the first time on the 12th, and naturally we just thought she had done it accidentally except that she did it for a second time. And then twice more this month. She has also started to deliberately swat at hanging toys, the first being the taggy toy hanging on her pram (21st Mar). She also seems to really love tummy time when I put her on the floor in Hugo's room in front of the mirrored cupboard doors.
She is very chatty, a typical girl according to her grandpa, and still very chatty and noisy. Much noisier than I remember her brother being.
Speaking of him, she adores her big brother. She loves to watch him, and follows the sound of his voice around the room, and has big smiles for him.
The differences in her personality to Hugo's at a similar age is very apparent. She feeds so differently too. She already only takes one side most feeds, which worried me a little at first, and gets cranky when I offer the other side and she doesn't want more. She doesn't seem to like to comfort feed, but likes a dummy. She also feeds super fast. Like 10 minutes fast.
We survived Zoe's first immunisations, and also her first beach day.
We also seem to have really found our groove for the three of us at home every day. We do our activities and errands in the mornings and then head home for lunch and naps and quiet afternoons.

Zoe at One Month
Miss Zoe has been with us for one whole month now, and I cannot believe how quickly time seems to disappear the second time around. Daddy has gone back to work now after three weeks off and the three of us left at home together are slowly finding our feet and figuring out our new rhythms. We have even managed to get to playgroup a couple of times, so, winning!
Our little girl is such a joy. She is giving us big smiles already, giggles in her sleep, and is always up for a late night chat (she coos and gaa's at me when we're up together for her overnight feedings.)
It's amazing how second time around overnight feedings take on a whole new perspective. Knowing how this occurs for such a short amount of time means I don't mind at all how alert she is, even at 4am. I just sit there and drink her in, smile down and coo right back to her, trying to not to wake daddy of course.
Hopefully we'll still be having late nigh chats when she's a teenager!
We love our beautiful girl.

First Cuddle
We have been really following Hugo's cues with introducing our newest family member and his interactions with her. This morning he asked to hold her for the first time. Sweetest little moment ever.

Maternity Photos
We went down to Balyang Sanctuary to finally take a few maternity photo's for this little bubba. Didn't want this one to feel left out that we had some taken for Hugo's pregnancy and not for his/hers. Although this time around we took our own camera and tri-pod, and I have to say, Dave did a great job. My posing, not so great. But he worked some magic despite my awkward, all the same poses. And Hugo was as cute as always.
